Easter Decorating Tips

Spring is officially here, and as we wait for the weather to warm up, it’s time to start thinking about some decorating ideas! Easter is right around the corner, and there are plenty of decorative ideas to choose from. Whether you’d like to keep things simple or be more adventurous, here are some ideas to inspire your creativity.

  • Natural Elements: From plants to flowers, the possibilities are endless when it comes to bringing a natural touch to your design ideas! From a simpler perspective, several potted plants and flowers will add a pop of color and a freshness to your home or room. These are perfect for kitchen windows and tabletops as centerpieces, or as accents on smaller tables in areas like the living room or bedroom. If you’d like to expand on this idea, create a natural wreath for your front door. Plants such as succulents and moss are easy to care for and bring an earthy vibe to your home before you even step inside. Add colorful accents by using easter eggs or ribbon, to brighten up this piece and make it truly unique.
  • Festive Decor In Unexpected Places: The kitchen is one of the most commonly occupied rooms in your home, no matter the time of day. If you are welcoming guests or simply cooking a family meal, bring the bright spring vibes to this room with accessories and accents! Easter themed hand towels are a fun and simple addition, as well as bright wall decor. To build off of this, create Easter place settings for your guests. Colorful napkins tied together with fun ribbon are easy to make and can be topped with a candy egg for extra emphasis (and a sweet surprise).
  • Egg-celent Additions: Easter eggs are iconic, and there are so many ways these can be used throughout your home. Outside of including them in a wreath or simply dying them, eggs can be carefully emptied, kept in the carton and decorated using springtime ideas! Small flowers can be placed in the top to create a beautiful centerpiece or table accent. Small birds nests serve as a great egg holder, and dyed Easter eggs can be put in these nests as another variation on centerpieces or accessories. For a more intricate idea, eggs can be emptied by poking a small hole in the top and bottom, decorated with bright colors, and strung together to create an ‘egg garland’.

These are just a few suggestions, but decorating encourages the use of your creativity and imagination! Build off of these concepts or create your own to establish a fun and festive setting for you, your family and your guests.
